The 1st Koo Wee Rup Scout Group has been serving the community since 1929. A lot has changed in scouting since then: girls were allowed to join, the uniform has changed, the law and promise has changed and, in the not too distant future, big exciting changes are coming to scouting.
Over the same period of time our group has grown and thrived. We now host all 5 sections catering to youth aged 5-25 and are looking to be able to provide Scouting for even more members of our rapidly growing community.
Our hall, however, has not kept up with this progress and requires some much-needed renovations. We have approved plans to expand the hall a little to provide additional meeting rooms, updated facilities that cater for access for the mobility impaired and generally give the ‘old tin shed’ a whole new makeover.
We have planning permission to do $150k worth of work to the hall and need your help to fund it. So, if you are, or ever have been part of the 1st Koo Wee Rup Scout Group (or know someone that was), please donate generously to this campaign.
No donation is too small! Scouting delivers far reaching benefits to a small community such as Koo Wee Rup. Every dollar donated will help provide us with a facility to help train our youth of today to become our leaders of tomorrow AND will provide a brand new modern space that can be used by the local community of Koo Wee Rup.
Thanking you in advance for your time and generosity,
1st Koo Wee Rup Scout Group
