David and Andrew have travelled many a road together (figuratively and actually). However this is “Little Wardys” first rally and first year joining Two Dads.
“Big Wardy” on the other hand (as always) has things under control having driven “Errol” (the trusty Subaru ute) in the previous 3 KidzFix rallies with his friend Derek Bloomfield.
The 2017 KidzFix Rally saw particularly strong “carpool karaoke” from David and Dez (see video below).
This year should be a hilarious dynamic (if less musical) as the Ward Brothers spend 10-days together in a row for the first time in 30-years.
Kidzfix Foundation has four main appeals projects pledged for 2018.
1. South Australian Dental Outreach Program with a complete set of equipment which will be handed over on rally at Yunta Central School about 200km West of Broken Hill,
2. A Sensory Classroom at Lucas Gardens School in Canada Bay (already in place),
3. A Neonatal Infa Warmer Resuscitation Trolley for the LaTrobe Regional Hospital in Victoria, and
4. Phillips Monitors for the Pediatric Emergency Unit at Shoalhaven Hospital that adds value and much needed equipment to our NETS Ambulance base at Nowra.
2018 sees the rally set off from Broken Hill (8th Sept) and head to the Flinders Rangers before taking a massive loop down through South Australia’s wine vallies and back up through Western Victoria before finishing in Mildura (15th Sept).
We are travelling in the car named in honour of our late father (His name was Bruce, but his nickname was Errol).
You could take up any of the rewards or donate directly to the KidzFix Charity where all our monies will ultimately end up.
