All great success stories begin with an idea, a vision to change the world. The Giving Gifts story began back in 2012. Two passionate hard working women developed the notion of an online delivery service for gifts.
Both women are time-poor, and like many other corporates, were finding it difficult to get away from their desk for a bite of lunch, let alone picking up a gift for somebody.
So, Giving Gifts was born, and since this day, busy people all over the country have had no excuse to turn up to a party empty-handed or forgetting to send flowers to mother-darling on her birthday.
The easy-to-use service caters for the most extravagant gift giver, to the person who wishes to send a small, yet meaningful token of gratitude. Giving Gifts is simple to use, time-savvy and all-round bacon-saving!
To an extent, Giving Gifts has become everything that it was intended to be. However, to reach the full potential of its initial vision, the two women mentioned previously sat down, re-evaluated and realised that they wanted our gifts to truly give, not just to the gift recipient, but to someone who would really benefit from a small gift.
We really do live in the lucky country. Most Australians have everything they need and some of them have more, so we wanted to encourage gift givers to give gifts that gave back.
Almost three years on, and the Giving Gifts journey is still unfolding, the range of gifts is still developing. The basics are there, the foundations of something brilliant are in place, but Giving Gifts is screaming out for something. It needs to be taken to the next level. It’s time to step up the gift giving experience, make it easier and more appetising to give the gift that gives back.
The next phase of Giving Gifts has been mapped out. Instead of trying to explain said plan in an artistic and enticing way, please see below dot points.
The Not-So-Evil Plan
Over the next 12 months, GG endeavours to;
If we can achieve this, the way we give gifts will forever be changed! We’re all getting busier, it’s sad, but it is hard to find time to pick up a perfectly unique gift for someone special.
And, most importantly, if we can achieve the above, we will help people that are less fortunate than us with a leg up. Basically, everybody wins.
Put yourself in the mind of a gift giver for a moment, you’ve just realised that it’s your Nephew’s 21st birthday, although he avoids your ‘Aunty kisses’ like the plague at Christmas time, you still love him and you want him to have an incredible 21st.
Time has literally run out, it’s 11:23PM, and only on your scroll through Facebook did you realise that it is in fact his Birthday tomorrow. Who you gonna call?
Probably not Ghostbusters, try Giving Gifts first. Ghostbusters is plan b. (Is he to young to know what Ghostbusters is?). Head to the GG website and browse.
Based on the ideal that you know your recipient best, there are multiple categories from which you can select a gift. Whether it’s an experience you want to give, or if it’s a physical gift, you’ll find it on GG.
And after you received the ‘thank you’ text message the next day, your job is done, you’ve succeeded, happy nephew, happy life? Close enough.
The satisfaction of giving is amazing, but what’s even better? The doubled edged sword of the gift giving world. Reward Points, to use on yourself!!! Or someone else.
To do this, we seriously need to redo our website. We love our logo and our colour palate, but the website is pretty darned ugly and won’t function to support our personal gift giving vision.
Help us give our customers the best online shopping experience of their lives, and in return they get reward points, which equals FREE shopping, essentially.
And you! Gorgeous you! Wonderful, generous you! You have your own choice of rewards. Whether it’s a stunning, fragrant bunch of flowers every month, or a personal invitation to GG’s exclusive launch par-tay in Syd-en-ay!
Whatever you choose, your gift is the one that will keep on giving. BY supporting GG you can actually bring a smile to the faces of people across the world (Yep, we’re going international, baby), because all our gifts give back to someone who could use a leg up.
