“1800 Trail Rides offers trail riding to suit the whole family, from nervous beginners through to riders with a lifetime of experience in the saddle.” 

Well, that’s what we have done since April 2011 – sharing the amazing Moore River bush and river land with nearly 16,000 riders in that time.  Some have left lovely reviews on TripAdvisor.

Unfortunately, due to lobbying and political machinations of some overfunded, undergenerous, non-resident neighbours, our leased land arrangements have been cancelled and we have lost our access to the stunning Crown Land that has long been showcased on our rides.

Offering riders from around the world the opportunity to get out in the bush on horseback has been an amazing privilege, only enhanced by the entertainment provided by families with teenagers who start out too cool to acknowledge their parents existance… and end up laughing and teasing each other throughout the ride!  

Whether trail riding is on your bucket list, or you want to surprise your partner, who has been desperate to get back in the saddle for years, we try and offer a ride to suit you!

Our Aim

We’ve found a property that provides us with unfettered access to another stretch of the same Crown Reserve – which the owner is willing to sell to us!  Catch is cash!

So, we are offering special deals to you, our wonderfully supportive and amazing fans and riders and to the generous souls that we have come in contact with since the news of our closure went public, and we’re hoping you’d like to help.

What you can do…

Remember that your pledges will only be processed when we reach our goal…  this is an ‘All or Nothing’ campaign – a last ditch effort!  So if we don’t raise our target of $435,000, we won’t be taking ANY money!  So please spread the word!

Buy a ride, or two.  Give them as Christmas Gifts or donate them to an end of year Christmas Fund raisers!

If you own a business, become a business hero!  We are offering signage, promotion and even paddock names to any businesses that are able to help!

All it takes is for many people to do a little, for amazing things to happen.  If 4579 people purchase a voucher for a 2 hour ride, we’re there!

All our riding rewards will be valid for 5 years – buy as many as you like to get yourself some regular riding at extraordinary prices.  If we get the support we need, we plan to be able to get you back in the saddle by April 2018!

Our Plans…

Our Horses

We have gathered our working horses from many different homes, with the core of our herd coming from trainers, both racehorses and standardbred trotters, who have proven their mettle over and over again.  With many of our horses brought to us on their way to the knackers, we are staunch advocates of rehoming off-the-track and not so off-the-track ponies!  Our retired steeds reside on our own property, and if we can achieve our goals for the new property, we will be able to continue to offer our horses a home for life!

BYO Horses

With this property, we will be able to open up our trail riding to riders from throughout Western Australia, and give the many holiday makers that head our way the facilities to allow them to bring their equine friends on holiday.  Horse holiday agistment allowing visiting riders to enjoy our trails and the many nearby beaches with all the horse facilities of home.

Building more facilities

This property will enable us to develop planned equestrian facilities that will include arenas, cross-country course/s, western games courses, a desensitisation course for young horses and a range of arenas.

Riding for Disabled 

The therapeutic benefits of horse riding for riders with disabilities has long been acknowledged.  By developing our connection with Riding for Disabled Capricorn we plan to offer RDA horse riding lessons to families and young people living in our region and surrounding shires –  trying to bring more disability services to our region where options are limited unless families make regular trips to Perth.

Sharing the  joy of horse riding with those who wouldn’t otherwise have the opportunity has driven the development of 1800 Trail Rides.  

The amazing support and encouragement we have received from fans and riders has encouraged us to try this last ditch path to avoid our forced closure.
